Process

We will discuss and establish participant’s needs and desired outcomes with care home  co-ordinators and organise a schedule for sessions.

Workshop Outlines

We often use a theme e.g family, home, London, holidays or colours, which we explore and discuss, using prompts such as images, poetry, music and discussion.

Victoria uses poetry and storytelling techniques and works with participants to write a collaborative poem or shape their stories and memories.

Antonin records individual’s voices and group discussion and edits the sessions, adding music and sound effects, if needed.

When workshops have finished we agree with care home that they are happy with the content of edited recordings.

We provide an agreed amount of copies on CD of the final audio pieces for the participants, care home and families.

Some care homes choose to put on an event celebrating the participant's recordings and poems.

Eastend childhood
I was born in Christian Street, off the Commercial Road
Us children played cricket
And painted a wicket,
Below Mrs. Goldberg’s window.
(She wasn’t too happy, though)
Hide and seek in the tenements by the Hogarth
That was fun, good for a laugh.
